A beautifully kept course fishery with good space between anglers on waters that cater for most anglers. I've yet to have a bad day here & Mel , the manager , is very friendly & knowledgeable about the lakes & surroundings under his care. I've had double mirrors & commons out of Upper Bembo with F1s , Ide, Roach & skimmers thrown in. Ive had a more relaxed day catching smaller mirrors & silvers on Woodys End. I've had two great days on Boulders with F1s , Mirrors & Ide . Big Max lake will be my next challenge. One thing missing is a cafe or at least somewhere to grab a brew & bacon butty but you can't fault the lakes , quality or friendliness of Old Hough. Love it here

Great location and facilities. I'd not visited before and fishing had apparently been tough due to changing winter conditions. Staff on hand to offer advice on which like to fish. Fished Woody lake for over 70 Roach, Ide and skimmers plus a nice mirror all on pole fished Maggot during a 3 hour morning session. Good fishing for a frosty morning in December.
Moved lakes to Big Max in the afternoon and had over 20 roach and skimmers. The carp or F1s weren't on the feed, but others said the sport can be exceptional on most days. Well worth a visit.

At old Hugh today started slow , with skimmers , roach, pick up about 1300 which was strange, but had a few carp, f1, steady for 2hrs on pellet , think ground bait would have helped
